SGD Family
STD Series

The STD Series is an ESD and overvoltage protection component designed for high-speed data ports. Below is a detailed introduction to the STD Series

Series Features
Complies with IEC61000-4-2 international overvoltage standards
Easy to solder
To meet the soldering demands of high-speed data transmission ports, the STD Series adopts SGD packaging, offering 20% better solderability than industry counterparts of the same size.
Low capacitance
Designed for low-capacitance needs in high-speed interfaces, the STD Series features SGD packaging that delivers lower capacitance than other same-size products.

Application Scenarios
USB Interface
🇺🇸 It is a serial bus standard used to connect computers and devices, as well as a technical specification for input/output (I/O) ports. It is widely used in information and communication products such as personal computers and mobile devices, and has expanded into other related fields such as cameras, digital TVs (set-top boxes), and gaming consoles.
The latest generation of USB is USB4, with a transmission speed of 40 Gbit/s. The physical connectors USB Type-A and Type-B have a specific orientation, while the newer USB Type-C connector is reversible and can be plugged in either way.
HDMI Interface
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a fully digital interface for transmitting both video and audio signals. It is capable of transmitting uncompressed audio and video data.
HDMI 2.0 (18Gbps, supports 4K@60Hz), HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps, supports 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz)

DisplayPort(DP)
DisplayPort (DP) is primarily used for connecting video sources to display devices, and it also supports audio, USB, and other forms of data.
DisplayPort 1.4 (32.4Gbps), DisplayPort 2.0 / 2.1 (80Gbps)
Antennas
Overvoltage protection components effectively prevent damage to wireless communication antennas caused by lightning strikes or power fluctuations. They help ensure stable signal reception and extend the antenna’s service life, making them suitable for various wireless devices such as routers, wireless TVs, and mobile phones.
All these belong to high-speed transmission interfaces. The best choice depends on use case and device, but low capacitance is always essential.
